About the Walk
Healthy New Albany (HNA) is proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the New Albany Walking Classic® (the Walk) that will take place on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Join North America's largest walking-only race by signing up for either the 5k (3.1 miles) or 10k (6.2 miles) distance. Help us celebrate 20 years of promoting well-being that has impacted thousands of participants from local, state, national, and international communities.

Our Mission
The New Albany Walking Classic® was created to promote physical activity as a vehicle to improve physical, mental, and social well-being. Since its inception in 2005, the Walk has been responsible for the development of health-related programs and services that have benefited people of all ages and from all geographic areas.
Because of the Walk, Healthy New Albany, a nonprofit organization was created and has become a national model for community wellness. Since its inception, the Walk has been responsible for raising over three million dollars that has helped support programs and services such as:

100% of the proceeds will support HNA's programs and services.
